Job Description
The purpose of the class is to learn, understand and perform all duties necessary to accomplish in a timely and efficient manner the classification, appraisal and assessment of assigned residential and rural properties within Richland County; to provide professional customer service at all times; to maintain accurate and up-to-date appraisal records, and to perform related work as required. This class works according to set procedures under close supervision of the appropriate supervisor who reports to the Deputy Assessor - Appraisal and the County Assessor.
Requires Bachelor's degree or education and training equivalent to four years of college education in real estate, business administration, finance or closely related field. Must begin the process of obtaining a S.C. Mass Appraisal license. Must possess a valid state driver"s license. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in real estate, appraisal or related field preferred.
