The Financial Systems Analyst reports to the Chief Accounting Officer. This position will work closely with our Finance and Business Systems teams to continue to support key financial processes, data and ultimately reporting. This support includes, but is not limited to, planning, designing, developing, managing, and testing various strategic Workday configurations and reporting to solve complex business issues.

The Financial Systems Analyst will support the Finance team with data mapping, application and reporting questions, on-going Workday training, and participation in regular team meetings and initiatives.

Additionally, this individual will:
Serve as a key SME on select financial data, processes, and Workday financials
Serve as the primary interface with Siegfried’s Business Systems team and other Financial Business Optimalization Experts
Key Finance Liaison to ensure solutions meet Finance team specifications and incorporate adequate internal control design and documentation requirements
Play key role in further development and optimization of Workday Financials
Build and run reports in Workday, and other financial systems/applications as requested
Maintain Financial Data Model inside and outside of Workday and add, remove, and edit accounts, account mapping, spend categories, posting rules and business processes as requested and approved per internal governance process.
Support semi-annual Workday release planning and testing.
Gather and analyze customer requirements. Draft clear and concise functional design documentation and testing plans.
Conduct initial testing on key system changes.
Ensure operational changes are documented and approved to support annual financial audit.
Provide final decisions and approvals on accounting and system changes when reviewing change requests.
Serve as a liaison to customers of the finance team to resolve process issues and work with the finance team to correct and implement solutions.
Collaborate with Business Systems team and Project Management function to implement fixes, enhancements, integrations, and projects in support of Finance operations and priorities.
Actively seeks out system and process improvements to increase performance and productivity and reduce expenses.
Maintain on-going system/process improvement plan and implementation roadmap
Develop training documents, prepares training, perform training, and handle communication related to training for software functionality, system tasks, business processes and reporting.
Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications/ Requirements:
Four-year Accounting, Finance, MIS or comparable degree strongly preferred
Advanced MS Excel working knowledge required
2 – 5 years of experience in a corporate setting required
2+ years of experience working in Workday Finance, or other ERP Finance System required
Financial close and/or financial statement preparation knowledge/experience required
Demonstrated experience learning and mastering new system and reporting capabilities
Prior agile/scrum experience preferred but not required
