The Human Resources Generalist performs a wide range of human resource activities requiring a high level of confidentiality. Primary responsibilities include management of all employee benefits and their processes. A vital component of this role is to serve as the super-user and content expert for the HRIS (UKG) system. Serves as a key leader supporting employee performance management and appraisal processes. In conjunction with the Director of Human Resource designs, develops and oversees the implementation and execution of human resources strategies and programs that align with overall business strategy and culture of the organization. The role reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and supports Senior Leaders as requested. This position is full-time, exempt and benefits-eligible. Compensation for this position is $58,500 - $63,500 annually plus benefits. The typical schedule for this role will vary based on the dynamic schedule of a theater but will primarily be M-F Days.

1. HRIS Administration and Compliance
Serves as a super-user and content expert for the HRIS system (UKG).
Enter changes i.e., new hire, change, and termination data in timely manner.
Maintains security, user accounts, and perform other basic system maintenance.
Trains and provide support to employees using the employee facing functions of the HRIS and the app.
Ensures benefits processes/work rules/authentication are implemented and processed through UKG.
Create and maintain queries and reports (internal and external) for the human resource team and other stakeholders in the organization. Reports, include EEO1, OSHA 300A, salary surveys, retirement plan audits, PTO reports, termination reports, etc.
Recommends and develops policies and procedures; working with human resource team maintains and implements policy review.
Ensures compliance with Minnesota and Federal employment and labor laws.
Manage termination process to ensure proper procedures are completed.
Serve as primary to conduit to and occasional backup support for payroll processing.
2. Benefits
Manages all benefits processes (including health, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability plans, retirement plans, flexible spending, and COBRA).
Processes with providers benefit changes such as: new enrollments, employee changes, terminations etc. Orders benefits materials as needed from providers. Reviews and updates bills on a routine basis. Ensures quality control for benefit deductions.
Primary contact to (with support of the Director of Human Resources) maintain benefits broker relationships and to negotiate as well as determine organizational benefits options.
Manages and leads open enrollment implementation, including informational and/or help sessions.
Conducts new employee benefits orientations.
Responsible for ACA and Minneapolis Sick Time compliance.
Ensures (with accounting department) that benefit deductions are reflected correctly each payroll.
Processes and maintains leave administration in conjunction with Health Partners.
3. Organizational Development
Oversees and supports the design, creation of and ensures the consistent implementation of employee appraisal processes.
Supports organizational training efforts through the designing, developing, and leading of organizational trainings.
Coaches employees effectively through the use of candid, constructive and two-way feedback.
Coaches organizational leaders concerning a variety of issues such as employee relations, supervisory tactics and other human resource related issues. Facilitates performance improvement plans as needed.
Develops and supports organization-wide activities through staff meetings and other engagement efforts.
Create and complete both stay and exit interviews.

Intermediate human resources generalist experience required working for a mid to large-sized organization. Formal, informal, and cross-disciplinary experiences will be considered.
Advanced level of knowledge and demonstrated use of HRIS systems required. Preference will be given to candidates with UKG (Ultipro) experience.
Demonstrated depth of knowledge around benefit plans and compliance.
Working knowledge of Minnesota and Federal employment and labor laws.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (word, excel, power point) and Google documents.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience coaching and mentoring employees.
Ability to manage multiple priorities to ensure work is completed in a timely and productive manner.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in oral and written communication on an interpersonal or group level.
Ability to exercise professional discretion and confidentiality in regards all human resource related matters.
Must demonstrate the ability to deal diplomatically with a wide variety of people, possesses public speaking ability, strong organizational skills, and complete tasks with a high attention to detail.
Experience, ability, and commitment to working with individuals and teams that are mixed across lines of difference such as race, gender-identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class, and immigrant status.
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours/days, including evenings and weekends, reflective of the dynamic schedule of the theater.
