Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Team Lead, the Post Closing Analyst processes final loan documentation needed after real estate settlements have been completed and is responsible for the delivery of the closed loan package to investors/bond authorities, according to specific investor requirements. The Post Closing Analyst will act in full compliance with all policies, directives/procedures and external regulations to protect the company’s assets and will contribute to the unit’s business objectives by actively seeking ways in which to improve process cycle times. Regular, predictable and dependable attendance is essential to satisfactory performance of this job. This position will work in an office (not remote) in Urbandale, IA.
Essential Functions

• Prepare, scan, index, record and complete mortgage assignments based on requirements.
• Research public records for recorded docs and recording information.
• Ensure final loan document quality and resolve any deficiencies according to internal, investor and agency standards; verify loan documents for compliance, completeness and accuracy in accordance with multiple regulations and guidelines.
• Scan and attach closing documents within loan origination system.
• Shipping/uploading to investor based on set requirements.
• Admin duties to include file follow-ups for various needs; preparing excel for loop updater,
• Fed Ex/UPS Shipment creation for various items including checks, closing packages and final docs.
• Audit documents for destruction based on retention guidelines.
• Mail- Gather, open, sort and file incoming mail.

Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:

• At least two years office work experience with a focus on document management.
• Ellie Mae Encompass Loan Origination System (LOS) preferred
• Previous mortgage experience strongly preferred, in any one or combination of:
• Processing
• Underwriting
• Closing
• Post-Closing
• Servicing

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Must be effective on the telephone and in writing
• Must have excellent attention to detail skills
• Must be analytical, organized and coachable
• Able to adapt easily to fast-paced, high volume and time-constrained environment
