Job Overview:
As an Administrative Assistant I, you will provide administrative support for the Western Region Unit Staff (located at Soto Street, Jensen, and La Verne Facilities) by performing the following duties: answering phones and routing calls; receiving and distributing mail and interoffice correspondence; handle UPS/Fed Ex deliveries and shipments for Soto Street Facility; posting information on bulletin boards; coordinate medical evaluations; maintain unit leave calendars and phone/callout lists; coordinate meeting room reservations; perform training coordination duties; prepare various general administrative documents, spreadsheets, and reports; correspondence and form filing; office and coffee supply maintenance; assist with asset coordination; fuel inventory reconciliation and reports for Soto Street fuel pump, process travel expense reimbursement requests, and prepare expense reports; serve as primary timekeeper; assist with requisition processing in Oracle and purchase materials and supplies using a procurement card; other related duties as required.

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate and four years of relevant experience; or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.

Relevant Experience is defined as: administrative work experience

License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
