CURRICULUM ADMINISTRATOR (Grades 6-8)
The team at the Cooperative Middle School in SAU16 is seeking a Curriculum Administrator starting July 1, 2022, who will work with the administration, classroom teachers, special educators, and intervention specialists to ensure that high quality, engaging instruction is provided to all CMS students. We are interested in meeting individuals who have the characteristics of our essential core values (below) and who have been successful in coordinating the implementation of competencies, coaching to support educator effectiveness, managing the administration and analysis of student assessments and data, and overseeing the availability of necessary resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Develops, implements and evaluates curriculum for improvement of instruction and student assessment.
Guides professional staff in the implementation of student-centered, competency-based learning.
Directs and plans professional learning opportunities for CMS staff in the area of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Assists the administration and teachers in the setting of appropriate instructional goals that are consistent between all grade levels.
Provides modeling and coaching for teachers and instructional support staff.
Facilitates presentations, professional development and discussions to help teachers remain current in best practices.
Supervise the administration and analysis of all state and local testing programs within the school.
Collaborates with teachers, team leaders and professional staff to analyze assessment results and create plans to build on strengths and address opportunities for growth.
Coordinates and assists with pupil progress monitoring in the core content areas.
Assists with the preparation of appropriate budgeting to meet curricula goals and student needs.
Coordinates the development and implementation of federal grants to support the instructional goals of the school.
Supports all aspects of district instructional and curriculum integration of technology.
Represents the school in meetings and conferences related to curriculum and assessment.
Makes recommendations pertaining to policy and procedure to the Principal and SAU administration.
Represents the school within community forums and other groups for the purpose of maintaining ongoing community support for educational goals and providing equitable learning opportunities for all students.
Attends monthly ERCSB Curriculum and Philosophy Committee Meetings to provide updates.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of current education and instructional theories, methodologies, techniques and best practices as related to instruction and curriculum at the middle school level.
Knowledge of curriculum design, lesson development and personalized learning.
Knowledge of current educational technology trends in a competency-based education enviornment.
Demonstrate strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop, conduct, and/or facilitate professional learning opportunities (face-to-face or online) to adult learners in individualized, small, and/or large settings.
Knowledge of cultural diversity and inclusivity as related to student performance educational practices.
Demonstrate strong project management skills.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders/partners including policymakers, higher education, business, research, and non-profit.
Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, organize, and schedule work to meet established deadlines and goals.
Ability to analyze data from multiple sources to design, implement, monitor and evaluate a successful instructional program.
Understands state laws and school policies around curriculum, instruction and assessment.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE
Has obtained a Master’s degree from an accredited institution
Has completed a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
Has a NH certification as a Curriculum Administrator.
Has demonstrated good interpersonal communication skills and leadership ability.
Has thorough knowledge of standards, competencies and assessment practices in the middle school grades.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Physically performs sedentary work exerting up to 20 pounds of force infrequently, up to 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of course frequently to life carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time, but will include walking or standing for brief periods of time. Occasionally reach above shoulders, kneel and bend. Mental demands requiring decision making, analytical and organizational skills in order to achieve work objectives, draw daily operational conclusions, solve practical problems, use computer technology and to present information for use by administration in making decisions.
