Summary:
SafeCare is an evidence based, parent training curriculum for parent of children 0-5 who are at risk for or have been reported for child neglect or physical abuse. The responsibility of the SafeCare Enrollment Coordinator position is to assist with the implementation of The Health and Well-Being Program for Maltreated Children (SafeCare) located in Pulaski County. The coordinator will work with a DCFS partner to conduct initial intake procedures with families and then assign families to SafeCare providers. The Coordinator will also supervise the SafeCare providers and will oversee and/or provide staff development training. When directed they will prepare and submit concise, well-written reports in a timely manner. This position will report directly to the SafeCare Arkansas State Manager and is grant funded. It is contingent on funding availability.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Outreach and Enrollment Activities
Serve as main contact on working with DCFS to enroll families quickly and efficiently into the SafeCare program as called for in the Health and Well-Being Program for Maltreated Children contract.
Work with the SafeCare Arkansas State Manager and DCFS on development of SafeCare enrollment strategies in Pulaski County and expanded areas.
Prepare and conduct presentations related to enrollment activities if requested.
Develop and maintain partnerships with other home visiting models and neighborhood and community entities to heighten awareness of the SafeCare model and potential resources available to children, families, and home visiting agencies.
Assist with other activities as requested or directed by the SafeCare Arkansas State Manager.

2. Planning, Organization, and Implementation of the SafeCare Arkansas program in Pulaski County.
Assist SafeCare Arkansas State Manager as requested with overall organization and implementation of the SafeCare Arkansas program in Pulaski County.
Become knowledgeable about the SafeCare program goals, mission, and eligibility requirements.
Participate in meetings with the AHVN, DCFS, and other partners and provide meeting assistance as requested.
Assess and inform the SafeCare Arkansas State Manager in a timely manner of issues that could affect program goals and outcomes related to the SafeCare program in Pulaski County.
Assist with other duties as requested.

3. Communication, Reporting, and Documentation Activities
Must follow all protocols established for the SafeCare program and strive to maintain model fidelity according to national office guidelines.
Maintain detailed and accurate records on all activities related to SafeCare including: All interactions with families and information obtained. ii. Outreach and enrollment activities. iii. Meetings related to SafeCare activities.
Maintain database records on families and referrals in the SafeCare program in an accurate and timely manner.
Communicate well with other home visiting models and neighborhood and community entities.
Maintain effective communication with families while observing professional boundaries.

4. Provide Human Resources Management
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified staff in accordance with ACH policies and procedures.
Assign responsibility for tasks and decisions with clear objectives and measures; distribute workloads appropriately and hold staff accountable for performance standards.
Manage performance by assessing staff competency and providing constructive feedback on initial hire, on an ongoing basis, and during annual performance appraisals for both onsite and offsite personnel.
Treat direct reports equitably and act fairly;
Address problems timely and provides "actionable" positive and corrective feedback to others; Take corrective action when necessary
Responsible for annual evaluation for each SafeCare provider and performance improvement plan if necessary.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Required - Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university - Field of Study: Social work, education, sociology, psychology, human services, counseling, or related field in human services

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Preferred - 3 years Experience in home visiting, case management, child development and parenting education. Candidates with supervision and/or staff development. experience preferred

CERTIFICATION / LICENSE / REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS
Required - Driver's License (Class D) with good driving record in Arkansas (Candidate must possesss at time of hire)

Required - Comfortable delivering interventions to families in the home setting
Required - Open to learning and implementing new curricula or intervention programs
Required - Able to be both creative and flexible in delivering services to families

Required - Ability to use word processor, database and spreadsheets
