Under the supervision of the Outreach Coordinator and/or shift supervisor, the Laboratory Clerical Office Assistant/Courier performs various clerical duties to ensure efficient operation of laboratory specimen handling processes. Also performs courier duties: transporting specimens, supplies, and medical equipment to/from client offices to various departments within the laboratory, hospital, and referral laboratory sites.
High school diploma or GED required. Medical Courier experience preferred but not required. Previous experience with computer data entry and medical terminology preferred.
Must have a valid Alabama state driver license and excellent driving record. Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
