Education/ Certifications/ Licenses: A 2-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school requiring approximately 64 credit hours
Wage/Salary: Based on experience
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for real estate loans, including secondary market loans, portfolio loans, construction and equity loans
- Complies with all bank policies and regulations
- High level of computer literacy
- Basic knowledge and ability to use banks core operating system
- Engage in marketing efforts to increase business, client & referral business
- Strong analytical skills, combined with sound judgement and decision-making abilities
- Obtain and analyze financial and credit data
- Work with the processors and underwriters to facilitate the quick and smooth closing of all transactions
- Utilize lock desk specific to loan programs and ensure pricing conforms to Mortgage Loan Committee
- Ensure compliance to applicable regulations and keeps up to date on all changes in real estate regulations and lending requirements
- Participate in community events and service
- Cross sell other bank products and services
- Attend training and bank meetings to stay up to date on FHA/VA/USDA/Conventional/Portfolio changes & guidelines
- Manage loan portfolio and attend weekly pipeline meetings
- Responsible for past due loans up to 30 days
- Interface with other departments as necessary to ensure the smooth operation and growth of the operation
- Backup responsibilities for consumer lender
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Communicates challenges and opportunities to manager
- Ensure that an environment of teamwork is always maintained
