This position is located at our Clive University Avenue branch.

SUMMARY

Solicits, develops, and services a wide variety of private banking customers. Provides full-service banking to high-net worth individuals. Scope of duties includes extending credit, providing deposit related services, offering financial and banking advice and maintaining customer awareness of services. Interviews loan applicants, analyzes financial information, directs credit department analysts work in determining commercial clients creditworthiness. Monitors outstanding loans and deposits. Makes decisions and recommendations within prescribed limits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works under the direction of a more experienced Private Banker to support their assigned group of customers.

Directly manage an assigned group of customers, maximizing customer satisfaction and company profitability.

Interviews loan applicants.

Analyzes credit worthiness of applicants by reviewing loan application, financial statements, credit history and collateral.

Reviews and analyzes the assets of the customers and works closely with our Financial Services Group to provide customized and expert investment guidance.

Gathers and opens depository accounts for customers.

Establishes and negotiates terms and conditions with borrower.

Approves or rejects loans.

Prepares and presents loan requests over lending limit to senior management or loan committee.

Ensures compliance to applicable regulations and keeps up-to-date with changes in federal regulations and lending requirements.

Monitors loan repayment and takes appropriate collection action.

Completes monthly problem loan reports.

Actively participates in new business development programs.

Originates and follows through on new business contacts.

Maintains and services existing accounts consistent with departmental objectives of profitability and credit quality.

Prepare and process loan documentation to ensure proper monitoring of financial progress and perfection of collateral security interests.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

May administer other types of loans.

Cross-sells other bank products.

Performs community involvement activities.

May serve on loan committees.

May provide financial advice to customers and perform other customer service related activities.

May perform other banking functions as required.

May supervise Private Banking support staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university preferred. Requires a minimum of 2 to 5 years banking experience, (preferably lending and or investment experience).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to ready, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures, and perform spreadsheet analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems. Analytical ability required for a variety of lending and depository situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
