Major League Baseball's Social Media Marketing & Innovation department is looking for someone with an understanding of the sports Social Media landscape, particularly video content, to join our team for the 2022 season. This role will work across a number of internal teams to support MLB's social media efforts on Facebook and Instagram. This is a part-time, seasonal position through the end of the baseball season, including the Postseason. Location can be remote or out of New York.
Job Responsibilities
Write copy and publish longform video content across 30 Club Facebook Highlight pages and Clubs' main Facebook pages
Work in tandem with MLB Network to ideate, request and manage receipt of videos
Liaise with Club Social Media teams to share plans and maintain content schedule
Maintain detailed notes and meticulous log of all upcoming, scheduled and published content across 30 Club pages plus League accounts
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Demonstrate ability to exercise good editorial judgment
Strong understanding of baseball (MLB, its Clubs and players) is preferred
Experience working with Social Media platforms, particularly Facebook, is essential
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks at once
Strong organizational and teamwork skills
Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and syntax
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
