PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

FLSA Status: Exempt

Acme Brick Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is an organization of professionals in the manufacturing and building material distribution industry. We manufacture brick and distribute our own brick as well as brick and associated products manufactured by others. Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of subordinate associates engaged in operating various machines to manufacture products. Oversees the daily production activities of a plant or department as well as maintain and repair machinery. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You will be a strong and reliable support to company operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Suggests changes in conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Recommends and implements new procedures
• Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing maintenance requirements on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems
• Troubleshoot equipment problems. Instruct and supervise equipment repairs
• Design, modify and install equipment as needed
• Use a variety of hand and power tools and handling equipment in performing duties
• Ensure department and workplace safety by adhering to all federal, state, local, and Acme Brick Company policies and procedures.
• Follow all required work safe practices including lock-out tag-out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist associates in solving work related problems.

Skills and Experience Required for Success:

• 2+ years of related experience
• Proficient using MS Office
• Working knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulics & Pneumatics
• Leading and training employees • Problem - solving skills
• Use and read a multimeter
• Must be able to quickly identify materials Competencies Required for Success

Education:
