Job Description

Come join our dynamic team on the beautiful South Shore of Massachusetts at a premier YMCA facility on 40+ acres ready take to make a bigger impact in the community! The Associate Executive Director position is a critical part of the Branch Leadership Team of Directors. You will be a key contributor to a work environment that is welcoming, innovative, inspiring, nurturing, and deepens the community’s understanding of the YMCA’s cause and impact through development and implementation of effective marketing, communications, team building and strategic planning.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Exercise Science, Human Services and/or Business Management or related field preferred and equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five+ years of successful staff supervision and team-building experience preferred.
Successful experience in Membership growth and development, budget management and program innovation.
Previous experience managing a budget of over $1.5 million preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, teambuilding experience, comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment, and ability to multi-task multiple departments with varying needs.
Ability to think strategically, develop a vision for delivering high-quality programming and superior member service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Membership Sales Software and Budgeting.
Essential Functions
Ensures a level of service and engagement that fosters loyalty among membership base.
Provides leadership in the areas of day-to-day operations of the branch.
Participates in the planning of the annual budget; manages and implements the financial plan for membership revenue, staffing and other expenses
Recruit, hire, train and develop a Branch Operations team that is dedicated to excellent member service and high-quality programming.
Communicates across departments to provide a member-focused experience that results in increased member retention.
Recruit, hire, train, develop and direct staff teams under your supervision. Review and evaluate staff performance. Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
Develop, manage and monitor assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommend adjustments to the budget to assure a balanced operation and submit weekly reports on current operations.
Develop and direct high-quality member engagement strategies and programs that support branch and Association mission, goals and strategies.
Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand individuals' goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.
Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the YMCA mission and goals.
Total budget responsibility will be $4-5 million
Staff development responsibilities will include a professional exempt staff of 5-7 and 175+ part-time staff.
Support and help fundraise Annual Campaign goal of approx. $300,000
Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting and data analytics for membership.
Identifies and builds relationships with internal and/or external partners or key stakeholders, such as service groups, community organizations or companies, to support programs or projects. Provides and maintains related statistics and reports.
Assists with fundraising efforts to support scholarships for individuals and/or families in need.
