Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Educates and assists management and employees within a particular division or department in the administration of human resources policies and procedures.
Interprets policies and works with appropriate staff to effectively resolve human resources issues.
Provides guidance to managers and supervisors regarding employee leave policies. May investigate and gather information regarding employee relations, Workers' Compensation and FMLA situations.
Initiates employment requisitions and follows up on job postings and applicant referrals.
Processes new hire and applicant tracking paperwork.
Ensures the accuracy and completeness of employment documents.
Reviews and obtains approval of time and attendance documents, processes reimbursements and special checks and maintains required documentation.
Maintains databases, records and files and prepares reports.
May assist with budget preparation and monitor expenditures for specific areas.
Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of college coursework and three years of office administration experience which includes two years of human resources experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge of various personal computer software packages.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates will possess strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively.
Experience with various technologies including advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, database and project management software, and recruiting systems.
Possess a high level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality with sound judgment and discretion.
Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines.

NOTE:
In addition to the above duties, the Human Resources Specialist will provide onsite support to manage access to ORA physical space, coordinating office moves and requests for space.

Distribute and collect equipment to/from employees, assist with inventory of equipment, serves as a liaison with Campus Services.

Primary tasks will require an on-campus/in-person presence.

Remote work options may be granted as business needs permit.
