I. Job Summary
Segregate and feed fluorescent mercury containing lamps into WMLT processing equipment. Segregate and properly process all non-fluorescent mercury containing lamps following proper hand processing procedures. Ensure all safety and compliance procedures are followed.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Follow proper processing procedures for mercury containing lamps
Follow all required safety and personal protective equipment facility guidelines, including the use of a respirator, as required
Conduct daily pre- and post- shift safety inspection of equipment
Keep work area clean of debris and maintain good housekeeping
Ensure proper labeling and container requirements are met

B. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
24 Hour Hazwoper Preferred
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Must be able to lift up to 50_ lbs during an 8-hour shift and have general knowledge of waste profiling, lab analysis, waste determination, E&P exemptions. A solid understanding of waste disposal, recycling, co-product, and re-use options is also required. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
