We are currently hiring for our Compliance Manager position! This position plays a key role in ensuring the credit union's overall compliance and requires strong analytical abilities. If you are interested in joining the Credit Union 1 team in this capacity - we would love to hear from you!

The Compliance Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the, Compliance, Quality Control and Compliant Management programs credit union wide. This position provides consulting activity to assist management in fulfilling their risk responsibilities in these areas while functioning as an independent body that reviews and facilitates the risk assessment process.

Compliance and File Maintenance

Manages and facilitates the Compliance Program of the credit union for adherence to applicable Federal/State laws and regulations.
Monitors regulatory changes through various methods including websites, webinars and educational training. Assists in educating management on compliance issues/concerns that affect the credit union.
Coordinates with management to facilitate compliance activities to ensure appropriate documentation of compliance and that issues/concerns within the credit union are being appropriately evaluated and resolved.
Reviews department policies and procedures to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
Coordinates with Learning & Development to ensure staff receive appropriate compliance training and that new or changes to regulations are incorporated into the training program.
Provides reports to senior management regarding the Compliance Program
Administers and manages the credit union’s file maintenance program by ensuring tasks are completed timely and accurately.
Communicates shortcomings to various departments, acts as partner to departments to build solutions in areas of weakness with regard to file maintenance and compliance.
Has the ability to back up all file maintenance duties, as needed.
Assists with responses compliance inquiries via email, Asana, and other communication channels providing guidance and feedback, as needed.
Participates in credit union project processes to provide a reasonable voice of compliance.

Quality Control

Oversees the Quality Control (QC) program with guidance from the VP of Risk and Compliance for the credit union.
Tracks QC findings and remediation's in Asana, communicating with various departments as necessary.
Writes QC summaries and presents them to business unit leaders
Backs up all QC tasks as needed, including new accounts, consumer loans, real estate, and others.
Complete QC selections, when not responsible for completing the QC itself.

Compliant Management

Oversees the compliant management program for the credit union, monitoring for UDAAP, fair lending, and other regulator violations or negative trends.
Perform QC on the complaint management program.
Creates reports of the program that communicate to senior leaders any trends or threats.


High school graduate or equivalent, college level business courses are desirable.
Three years’ experience in Risk Management and/or Compliance and certification relating to both is preferred.
Must have at least 2 years supervisor experience and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and possess strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC).
