General Position Summary:
The Community Programs Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the community and among behavioral health stakeholders across public and private service lines. Organizes, attends, and facilitates town halls and other marketing events to communicate BPA Health’s vision to the local community, and connect stakeholders with company assets and programs. Lead coordinator and liaison for special programs that provide and improve behavioral health care and support services to the community. Cultivates advocates for BPA Health throughout the community. Identifies new business opportunities and assists in creating and implementing new service lines. Converts relationships into new business and new employees for BPA Health.

Authority to manage and hold accountable select staff and contracted employees.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages projects including planning, staffing, reporting, and fiscal monitoring
  • Conducts research into needed programs and best practices
  • Organizes and attends community and provider events related to new or prospective business opportunities
  • Influences public opinion to advance the mission and goals of the company
  • Leverages existing provider network and/or develops specialty provider networks for new programs or lines of business
  • Assesses new business leads and connects them to the sales channel and operations
  • Continuously collects provider and community feedback and distributes internally to inform and improve services
  • Serves as subject matter expert in behavioral health services, community stakeholders, and state policy
  • Drafts, publishes, and distributes various content pieces promoting the company and individuals or groups within the company
  • Demonstrates leadership and encourages productive teamwork and harmony
Secondary Functions:
  • Utilizes social media to highlight positive publicity materials and coordinate community relations
  • Participates in company activities to assist with wellness and morale
  • Performs other duties as assigned

. Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or other healthcare related fields
  • At least 3 years’ experience in public relations, healthcare, behavioral health, and/or government affairs preferred
  • Project management experience
Travel Requirements:
Approximately 30% of time out of the office with customers, providers and other stakeholders. Ability to make trips involving overnight stays. Means of transportation required.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to read, talk and hear. The employee is continuously required to walk, sit or stand at a computer workstation, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
