Nemours is seeking a Unit Clerk to join our NICU team in Wilmington, DE. This full time position consists of 72 hours every two weeks, rotating shifts 7am-7pm/ 7pm-7am with every third weekend and holiday rotations.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
An individual who functions as a member of the nursing staff to support overall workflow in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Functions as a collaborative team member in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
2. Greets and interacts with families in person and via phone.
3. Completes unit clerical responsibilities to support unit functioning.
4. Coordinates with staff to support patient care tasks and nursing workflow.
5. Ensures an adequate stock of all necessary equipment and supplies in designated areas at established par levels.
6. Engages with staff across multiple departments to obtain information and resources.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education, Training, and Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Previous Inpatient Clerk experience preferred.
3. Medical terminology training preferred.
4. Current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification
B. Other Requirements:
1. Professional verbal and written communication skills.
2. Organizational and time management skills.
3. Understanding of basic office skills, including proficiency in the use of computers.
