The Role:

The Continuous Improvement Team is looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead to…

Initiate and support opportunities to streamline work, reduce waste and identify cost savings opportunities. The individual will work collaboratively to help create efficiencies and quality improvements, as well as gain knowledge in applying lean methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities

· Ensure personal safety, food safety and quality protocols are followed.

· Initiate and support the implementation of improvement projects to support the five aspirations.

· Lead Continuous Improvement Kaizen events.

· Lead implementation of center lining, error proofing and standardization of work.

· Be the primary communication point for CI initiatives to team members on shift.

· Support operators in tracking losses and identifying improvement opportunities.

· Supports 5S and assist with future 5S practical implementations.

· Lead/Coach yellow belt projects

· Lead cross functional teams to respond to ‘operations triggers’ and address Root Cause Analysis and resulting actions.

· Attends production meetings, as required.

· Be available to work shifts, day, night, or swing with the flexibility to work other times as needed.

· Perform other related duties as requested.

Technical Expertise Required

· Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), MS Outlook calendar and email management, written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to understand and explain complicated concepts and processes.

· Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools including 5S, Visual Management, Rapid Change Over.

· Ability to use problem solving skills and root cause analysis tools to resolve and or/mitigate operational issues.

· Understand complex processes and communicate those processes in a logical easy to follow format via work instructions.

Education/Training Required

· High School Diploma (or GED) preferred.

· Minimum of 2 years previous experience working in manufacturing industry preferably.

· Lean, or Six Sigma certification a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.05 per hour
