Since 1990, WEST has grown to be one of the premier environmental and statistical consulting firms in the United States. WEST has a permanent core of professionals with broad experience in basic and applied ecological studies and the sophisticated analysis of natural resource data.

Key Benefits/Details:
Compensation: $15 - $17 per hour
Comprehensive Medical (if working 30 or more hours a week)
Sick Leave: Starting April 1, this position will start accruing 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours in the first year.
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: Ongoing
Location: Cheyenne or Laramie WY

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be:
Self-driven and motivated who can work well independently as well as in team environments.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and have either obtained or is currently pursuing a graduate degree/career in wildlife, environmental, biological, statistics, or a related field.

Essential Responsibilities:
Enter biological data in to MS SQL, MS Excel, Arc-GIS/QGIS, or others as needed
Various filing, scanning, archiving of datasheets
Work cooperatively with and under direction of the tracking & data team personnel
Other duties as appropriate and assigned

As experience grows:
Participate in more complex data entry
Learn data QAQC procedures

Requirements:
Have a strong interest in working with natural resource data and databases
Be capable of appearing for work on time as scheduled
Be able to understand and follow instructions yet have initiative and confidence to ask questions, accept guidance and constructive criticism
Understand how to use Google chats and Google calendar
Be able to interact effectively with coworkers, maintain a positive attitude
Have a highly developed ability to stay focused and pay attention to detail
Be able to work independently and in a team environment
Have an ability to think critically to solve problems

Physical Requirements:
Sitting for long periods of time
