Introduction

Mequon (/ˈmɛkwɒn/) is the largest city in Ozaukee County, in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, and the third-largest city in Wisconsin by land area. Located on Lake Michigan's western shore with significant commercial developments along Interstate 43, the community is a suburb in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Despite being an incorporated city, approximately half of Mequon's land is undeveloped and agriculture plays a significant role in the local economy. At the time of the 2010 census the population was 23,132.

Position Summary

This full-time position provides routine maintenance, repair and supplemental custodial services to all City buildings, and various City-owned properties including winter weather response as needed. The buildings maintenance worker assists in maintaining all types of equipment located in administrative buildings, the City pool, and park buildings. This position also helps develop long-term and cost-effective solutions for building assets.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) within six months of hire.
Possession of a valid driver’s license at time of hire and throughout employment.
Possession of or ability to obtain a Certified Pool Operator’s (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) license within one year of hire.
