- Location: Burlington, Vermont, United States
Provide operational and administrative support to the facilities maintenance team through the management of equipment inventory, cyclical facilities projects and space management, key and door access control, pest control, and emergency response. Has primary oversight for the placement, inventory, and condition records of all student room, lounge, office, apartment furniture and other equipment for 44 residence halls serving ~5,300 students and staff on the main campus and satellite campus that houses graduate and non-traditional students and their families. Assist in conducting facility inspections and assessing damage at the start and end of the academic year. Perform a variety of other facilities functions to include coordination of custodial services and Conference & Events Services and facility needs associated with conference group activity and their furniture, fixtures and equipment needs.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
High school graduate with five years of experience in general facilities or property management.
- Experience using Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office applications Word and Excel.
- Proficiency using email communication daily for information dissemination and response.
- Demonstrated interpersonal speaking and writing skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to solve problems independently.
Desirable Qualifications
Previous supervisory and building services preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to building, supporting, and maintaining diverse and inclusive working environments.
