Responsibilities:
Peter F. Nunes & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm insurance companies, is seeking a paralegal to join the Jacksonville, FL office. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to supporting up to two attorneys with discovery responses, reviewing and summarizing medical and billing records, preparing medical chronologies, and trial preparation. The most qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of civil litigation and insurance defense experience, the ability to work independently, prioritize workload, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively. The selected candidate will be considered a hybrid employee, spending some time working in office and some from home.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree and/or paralegal certificate, preferred but not required
3 years (PREFERRED) of Civil Litigation experience, preferably Insurance Defense
Familiarity with Court Rules and Procedures
Background in preparing draft discovery responses, preparing medical chronologies, expert retention, and trial preparation
Strong computer skills and experience working in an electronic/digital environment in particular Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
