Establish a vision and provides strategic and operational leadership to Advocate Aurora Health system talent management team, workforce metrics and HR management systems team. Design and implements a Talent Management and Succession Planning process for the Advocate Aurora Health system that ensures bench strength and ready successors for critical positions within the organization. Fosters opportunities for development of team members through succession planning and activities such as interim management placements. Sources and selects individuals for leadership positions (from external and internal sources) that address organization’s leadership and competencies needs today and in the future. Develops the people management systems and processes (e.g. performance management, selection systems and team member surveys) that enhance team member, focus, engagement and competencies. Ensures HR technology continue to efficiently support and enable the needs and success of the enterprise-wide HRIS function.

Oversees the design and implementation of a talent management strategy and succession planning process that builds internal bench strength and ensures high potential leaders are ready to fill critical positions. Facilitates the movement of management team members between sites.
Oversees and manages the sourcing, selling, assessing, and recommendation of excellent applicants in order to further the continual renewal of the organization and the improvement of organizational competencies
Leads, develops, and manages the activities of Talent Management Consultants and Staffing Consultants to ensure high quality placements of candidates. Oversees and manages the system-wide function for centralized clinical staffing.
Provides leadership oversight for the dedicated HR information systems team providing technology and systems support that improves work efficiency and effectiveness for HR staff, Advocate Aurora team members, and leaders.
Develops and monitors metrics and benchmarks in relation to Talent Management and Strategic Staffing.
Oversees the sourcing, assessment, interview process, selection and development of Fellows.
Oversees the Career Transition process for leaders and non-leaders moving out of their roles.
Consults on projects or specific issues, presentation of findings and recommendations and facilitation of meetings. Has significant contact with system executive management, system-wide senior leadership and physician leadership.
Implements system wide succession planning process; interpretation, development and delivery or organizational metrics. Develops the capability to provide those metrics as needed.
Ensures those workforce analytics and being effectively used and train as needed to realign.
Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
Responsible for taking an active leadership role in non-profit or community based organizations by providing community service hours or serving in professional organizations. Also, encourages team members to participate in these same community activities.

Degrees

Master's Degree in Organizational Development or related field.

Required Management Experience

Typically requires 10 years of management experience in talent management, workforce analysis, and HR management tools development.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Understands the operational demands of the organization where enhanced workforce analytics would be helpful and are possible.
Knowledgeable with Psychometrics associated with selection system development is helpful.
Experience implementing a complex HR management system that each manager will utilize.
Experience influencing leaders on the selection of other leaders.
Excellent presentation skills.Excellent organization acumen.
