Position Summary:
As an industry leader in wholesale, retail, and residential food distribution, Baldor Specialty Foods continues to grow and evolve at a rapid pace across all departments. The Overnight Warehouse Associate is responsible for the efficient movement, checking the food products are in shipping condition, wrap them securely and pack them for shipping in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Shrink wrap an average of 200-250 pallets.
· Ensure pallet is properly wrapped.
· Use judgment to estimate plastic amount and tightness of load.
· Be aware of surroundings.
· Help maintain a clean working environment.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED preferred.
· Prior warehousing experience in a food environment preferred.
· Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; able to work with little direct supervision.
· Ability to operate electric rider jacks, powered pallet jacks, hi-lo, reach trucks, hand pumping jacks, forklift, box cutter and RF Scanner.
· Ability to work on your feet for most of the day, repetitive bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
· Must be able to work overnight shift and flexible days (5 day work week; Sunday-Saturday: 8:00PM-6:00AM).
· Able to work in cold warehouse environment (36°F – 38°F).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
