This role could be located in any of the Anthem 14 states!

Responsible for managing a team with accountability for partnering with Brokers/Consultants on Small Group Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability across all states in which business is conducted. Works with specific brokers and agencies to promote Anthem Small Group specialty plans and maximize the number of members transitioning to Anthem Small Group plans. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

Leads a team that sells Anthem Small Group Specialty plans to brokers and additionally partners with local medical markets to drive education and engagement of brokers to include specialty when quoting Anthem medical plans and selling standalone specialty.
Responsible for retention of Small Group Specialty products.
Foster strong partner relationships with internal admin support teams to ensure small group specialty service & admin excellence.
Review, determine and issue approvals for executive-level field discounting for competitive sales opportunities.
Reports sales status and progress to senior management.
Ensures achievement of sales production goals and deliverables for assigned market areas.
Implements the policies, practices, and procedures of the company and its organizations.
Manages, leads, and trains teams to prioritize selling Anthem Small Group specialty in their product portfolio.
Ensures Brokers/Consultants are trained and prepared to identify and offer Anthem Small Group specialty products.
Develops recommendations to Sales Management on the marketplace dynamics, including competitors.
Remains informed of various enhancements to the product lines offered by the company to potential accounts.
Participates in various training programs offered by the company and/or outside organizations.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.

Qualifications

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and a call center environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Health and Life License required.

Annual Salary Range*: $70,223 - $87,780

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.

  • The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
