Position Overview: Develop, coordinate, and provide employee education programs that encompass onboarding new employees as well as continuing education for the sales teams including Sales and Service Coordinators, Client Service Representative, Account Managers, and Sales Executives. Develop and maintain desktop references and resource materials. Demonstrate effective leadership by developing teamwork, managing change, and encouraging innovation and staff involvement in the sales team. Support initiatives that reflect the department vision and are committed to achieving the goals and objectives of the sales team.

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and present training programs in coordination with sales leadership and other training coordinators, ensuring the sales team is trained to meet ongoing operational needs, provide excellent customer service to clients, and grow and retain membership

Develop, organize, and maintain, in coordination with other team members, a system of standardized reference tools and training materials that reflect current practices

Oversee processes to ensure sales team processes and procedures are accurate, routinely updated and submitted timely for review

Work with various teams to ensure sales and other teams’ processes and resources are aligned

Provide updates of new and revised team resources and training material to the sales team

Maintain SharePoint site for sales

Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness by using LEAN methodologies and quality improvement principles to promote continuous improvement

Lead training initiatives for sales

Identify and develop individualized approaches to different learning styles and create custom trainings/educational modules for different audiences

Coordinate business activities by maintaining collaborative partnerships with key departments, such as, but not limited to, Group Processing Services, Membership, Underwriting, and Commercial Programs

Work with the Learning and Development team and sales leadership to build modules in Workday

Work with sales leadership in all aspects of training to identify ongoing training needs

Ensure new hires have the tools necessary to be successful in their position, including access to systems and software

Actively participate in ad hoc meetings, committees, and project initiatives

Supporting Responsibilities:
Facilitate communication between internal teams

Support the review of Policies and Procedures

Assist with metric reporting

Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations

Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information

Perform other duties as assigned


Work Experience: Minimum of three years health insurance industry required. One year or more of educational or training experience highly preferred

Education, Certificates, Licenses: Associates, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Education or training certification preferred

Knowledge: Computer skills, typing, 10-key required. Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint experience required. SharePoint experience preferred. Ability to work under time sensitive deadlines. Ability to prioritize responsibilities, diplomatically handle demanding situations, and manage workload with limited direct supervision. Ability to work independently as well as within a team. Excellent communication and written skills.

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 5-15% of the time.

Physical Requirements: Stoop and bend. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions. Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing. Light lifting and carrying of files and business materials. Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English. Communicate clearly and effectively.
