Position Summary
Basic Function:

Read meters through manual data entry and mobile data collection. Perform periodic leak surveys and premise inspections, meter painting, minor leak repairs without service interruption (i.e. tightening a fitting), meter turn-offs, ERT installs, ERT changes and non-payment locks. Report diversions of service and leaks not covered within the scope of this position.

Meter Reader III’s may be assigned to the collection function, which involves performing non-payment service terminations both individually or as part of a two person team.
Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Preferred:

• Experience working in the utilities industry
• 1-2 years field work experience

Skills:

• Strong customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Able and willing to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to work independently
