The New Jersey Jackals are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to serve as the on-field host and promotions coordinator during game days and special events at Yogi Berra Stadium for the 2022 season. The individual will work directly with the game day operations staff in planning and performing on field and in stadium promotions.
Responsibilities:
- Work with game day staff in planning and executing pre, post, and in-game promotions and events for Jackals fans
- Encourage excitement among fans
- Interaction with fans when not performing on field
- Creativeness in planning new promotions
- Working with Operations manager in managing promotions interns and staff
- Planning and organizing promotions, theme nights and special events throughout season
- Scheduling of entertainment and guests for theme and promo nights
- Assisting with on field ceremonies such as first pitches, baseball buddies, etc.
- Working with game script to provide all staff an outline of each game
- Assist with game day setup and breakdown
- Pulling field tarp, when necessary, with all staff
- Achieved a degree in Communications, Sports Management, or related field
- Flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Desire to work in sports and entertainment
- Fan-friendly attitude and willingness to assist fans with questions
- Comfortable working in front of large crowds
- Ability to work with game script and make adjustments when necessary
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to make calls and schedule guests and entertainment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge in Microsoft office (word, excel, etc)
