Plumbers Supply Co, a family-owned business celebrating 100 years in 2021, has an immediate opening for a Pipe Yard Associate to join our Louisville Branch located on Main Street.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm (with possible required overtime)(hrs can be subject to change)

The Pipe Yard Associate works as part of a team that is expected to do the following:

Receive and stock incoming pipe shipments.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Interpret packing slips, key entry of applicable information into ERP system is required.
Responsible for ensuring quality of product prior to shipping to customer or job site.
Pull & load customer pipe orders as needed.
Pull & load pipe on delivery and/or transfer vehicles according to ticket/route instructions for daily schedule, checking orders for accuracy and to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer delivery expectations.
Able to operate forklift and other materials handling equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized pipe yard that is safe & accessible for salespeople, customer traffic and employees.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
1-2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
Forklift Experience required.
Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
An ability to function well as part of a team
Diligent attention to detail
Diligent attention to safety
Ability to perform simple math calculations and perform basic computer operations
Courteous, cooperative, respectful, presenting a professional appearance when interacting with internal and external customers
Must have good spatial awareness to fit different size loads on different types of trucks
Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to more than 75 lbs with assistance.
Must be able to lift inventory overhead for stocking and removing items located on upper shelves
Able to work in inclement weather
