With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Central Office, 2414 Bull Street, Columbia, SC 29201, however, may be physically located in another part of the state.
As the Program Coordinator I, working under supervision of the Program Coordinator for First Responder Support Team (FRST)-Office of Emergency Services, you will provide outreach and other non-clinical support to Responders in South Carolina. All job functions to be performed in a culturally competent manner.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Promotes FRST by visiting various agencies/departments, to include, but not limited to Law Enforcement, EMS, Fire and 911 dispatchers around the state, with a focus on under-served agencies.
Promotes and educates on other DMH services under the Office of Emergency Services.
Participates in Critical Incident Stress Debriefings, Post Critical Incident Seminars, and DMH agency meetings as needed, to provide adequate program support.
Ensures Adherence to agency's Corporate Compliance Policies and Plan. Shall comply with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements in performing their job duties.
Completes annual compliance/ethics training and submits conflict of interest and acknowledgment form.
Completes all DMH required trainings and seeks opportunities to advance know ledge/skill s related to job duties.
Complete all required SCEIS trainings by due date to include cultural diversity and inclusion training.
State Requirements: A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
This position requires the candidate to travel in the state to provide outreach to include attending conferences and other Responder Events. Possible overnight stay/travel.
