The Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) Adult Services Division has been tasked by the state legislature with the development of a 10-year blueprint to make Vermont an age-friendly state called the 'Vermont Action Plan for Aging Well' (VAPAW).

This part-time Project Coordinator position presents a unique opportunity to make an impact on the future of aging in Vermont. The position will support the Adult Services Division and VAPAW Advisory Committee by:

Coordinating Advisory Committee meetings

Conducting outreach to engage stakeholders

Supporting needs assessment activities

Helping to put together the Plan over the next two years

Who May Apply
This position, Action Plan for Aging Well Project Coordinator - Limited Service (Job Requisition #30621) , is open to all State employees and external applicants. It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Environmental Factors
Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting, with flexibility to work remotely as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) or more years of experience in project management, information technology, or program coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as described above with a focus on aging or disability issues.
