Who You'll Work With
You will work in our Boston office as part of our office services team. Our offices services team performs a variety of administrative activities that collectively contribute to the functionality and appearance of the office.
You will play an integral customer-service focused role providing responsive, high-quality, and cost-effective assistance with a variety of office services tasks with responsibilities including reception, mailroom, kitchen and facilities.
What You'll Do
You will work as part of a team, playing an active role in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the office.
This includes being a visible face of the office, greeting, registering and providing support to visitors and clients. You will be responsible for managing the flow of visitors into the building and office. You will work as a receptionist, answering external and internal calls quickly and effectively, taking messages and transferring calls as appropriate. You will manage the conference room space and allocate office and meeting rooms for all colleagues and visitors.
You will back-up the office service mail-box administration, providing timely answers and support to questions and requests. You will be responsible for daily office sweeps to check on office use, keep office clean, and stock kitchens and conference rooms. You will provide additional support across all office service roles including duplicating and events.
You will have the opportunity to gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree preferred
Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision
Excellent professional demeanor
Willingness to take initiative and rapidly problem solve issues as they arise
Possess high quality standards, a commitment to completing the task within the deadline, and the ability to work under pressure
Technical knowledge of office machines and equipment
Distinctive customer service mindset, with high quality standards

Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Fluent in English; additional languages is a plus
Ability to move heavy equipment and furniture

COVID-19 vaccination mandate:
Employment with McKinsey & Company, Inc. in the United States and Canada is conditioned on proof of full vaccination against the COVID-19 virus (with a WHO-approved or Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine, as applicable) or approval of an exemption due to a qualifying medical condition or sincerely held religious belief prior to start date.
