Spotify is looking for a Social Media Lead to helm our music, podcast and brand campaign content strategy for the Global Social team.

On a day-to-day basis, the Campaign Content Lead (CCL) leads the team responsible for monitoring the progress of ongoing campaigns on social media, optimizing strategy as necessary, and managing the development of upcoming campaigns. The goal of the CCL is to create campaigns that clearly position Spotify as being at the forefront of music, audio and Gen Z culture.
The CCL and their team are expected to achieve this goal by collaborating on campaign strategies with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to executives, music artists and podcast hosts, Brand and Creative teams, and creative agencies.
A key role of the CCL is to ensure that campaign strategies position Spotify at the forefront of global cultural conversations across social media platforms, generating measurable reach and growth in share of voice.
The ideal candidate has a keen understanding of the evolving entertainment media landscape, how streaming services are connecting artists and audiences in new ways, and how this presents opportunities to take the celebration of new music and fandom to unprecedented heights.
The CCL must have the skills necessary to achieve consensus in a highly cross-functional environment, managing short-term campaign goals and long-term brand goals simultaneously.
The CCL is responsible for overseeing the social media aspect of the campaign, leading a team of social media managers dedicated to the support of podcast and playlist campaigns. The CCL works closely with other members of the Global Social team to identify opportunities to extend and expand campaign moments for the mutual benefit of the Spotify brand and talent.
Success in this role hinges on the ability to balance the desires of multiple stakeholders and their differing priorities, while innovating the ways in which campaigns benefit brand awareness and love across social media platforms.

What you'll do

Track and monitor the health and success of the social aspect of all global music, podcast or brand campaigns.
Work closely with the artist, label and promotions team to develop social media campaigns that demonstrate value in partnering with Spotify on music and podcast promotions.
Partner with all podcast studios on creating social campaign strategies that evangelize the launch of owned and exclusive podcasts while also maintaining audience interest for weekly episodes.
Act as the global point of contact for social reps in all territories, making sure they have all necessary information and assets to participate in global campaigns.
Leverage human, cultural, and audience insights to develop impactful social campaign concepts to be implemented by your team or supporting agencies.
Work closely with regional counterparts on localization and regional rollout of social media campaign assets associated with global campaigns.
Oversee all work streams between internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all creative output remains of equal value to brand and partner.
Manage work streams between in-house creative teams, external agencies, and Global Social teams to deliver impactful creative and strategy.
Manage cross-functional interactions with key stakeholders and high-visibility partners, including internal and external influencers/talent.

Who you are

Profound experience working in social media
You are tuned into the social media timelines and aware of what all the trending conversations are, plus you have an encyclopedic memory of moments from past owned and exclusive shows that lets you know just the right extract to publish that will connect with how audiences are feeling at that moment.
Able to distill complex cultural moments and conversations into actionable strategies and qualitative learnings for peers.
As comfortable on the red carpet capturing a moment for TikTok as you are at home directing a crew to capture remotely.
Excellent at stakeholder management, particularly with external talent and influencers with a social audience.
A collaborative mind-set and ability to work with stakeholders and agency partners across a variety of marketing disciplines.
A strong creative sensibility point of view and the ability to share and sell creative work.
Experience and interest in leading a group of talents, to coach and support growth and development and ensuring a strong team collaboration - within the team and across stakeholders
