Department Description

Asia Pacific Financial Accounting group is a centralised financial operations centre for the Asia Pacific Region. Multi-lingual teams of accounting professionals, dedicated to specific countries, control all facets of the regions accounting processes in a shared services environment.

Finance functions operate from a few offices throughout the Asia region to ensure optimal service levels and all regulatory requirements are met.

Purpose of your role

To provide the extended administrative support onsite for financial accounting function. Develop to be a process expert and provide valuable support to business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a staff onsite, work closely with the rest of the team managers, members of APAC Financial Accounting based in Dalian and APAC Financial Control based in Sydney.
  • Main process covers P2P, Payment / Cashiering, Financial Accounting and oversight Finance related administrative and filing works
  • Ensure the invoices/requisition data in the system (CFP) are correctly verified, arrange BPM and reassign invoices/requisition to TW GM for onshore approval
  • Check and transfer approved requisition to PO for buyer role
  • Review and approve new suppliers within the Accounts Payable module by following the required control procedure
  • Executing corporate credit card administrator role to be responsible for statement, payment, card application/cancellation/transfer, credit limit review and change etc
  • Provide administrative systems support to Concur, CFP and other P2P systems.
  • Be able to resolve the exception cases/issues of in CFP system
  • Cashier: arrange AP payment, payroll payment, trailer fee payment, tax payment, check payment, inter-company payment and fund compensation etc.
  • Handle relevant bank reconciliation
  • Process prepayment
  • Check and ensure expenses are booked correctly, prepare reclass journals
  • Prepare and upload APAC T&E accrue journals
  • Handle fixed asset; FA addition, FA disposal, FA transfer, FA adjustment, depreciation and all related FA reports.
  • Ensure month end close timely and accurately.
  • Support business for finance related changes / matters. Provide trainings to business when necessary
  • Support Year end and ensure financial statement filing on time
  • Support internal and external audit by providing relevant documents timely according to requirements
  • Liaise with Financial control team for any ad-hoc tasks
  • Ensure process improvements in line with FIL policies
  • Maintain process documentation
  • Ensure signatures are updated in banks
  • PDPA annual review
  • Review and update Internal Control timely. Prepare Internal Control Self-Assessment & Compliance Self-Assessment
  • Participation in project such as process/system enhancement and so on
  • Have a good sense of risk, support to implement a culture of risk management including identifying key risks and implementing mitigating controls, regular reviews & monitoring of key risks and controls
  • Support your managers for all management decisions in relation to work scope and resource arrangements
  • Ad-hoc and other relevant accounting work assigned by supervisor
  • Support supervisor to maintain BCP procedure for relevant Financial Accounting process in Taiwan in Clearview system
Experience and Qualifications Required
  • BA/ Master degree is required
  • Accounting qualification is preferred
  • 5-10 years’ experience as an P2P officer / manager, preferably in a financial services organisation
  • Fluent in English
  • Detail orientated and be able to go into the depth of issues where needed
  • Should have exposure to working in a global environment with an ability to work with people across the globe in different time zones and with different cultures
  • Flexibility and an open attitude to change
  • Strong Collaborative Skills, Positive Can Do Attitude, High Energy
  • High degree of integrity and team work
